Introduction and classification of cemented carbide

cemented carbide is an alloy material made by powder metallurgy process of hard compounds and bonded metals of refractory metals, mainly used in cutting tools, stamping tools, molds, mining and road construction machinery and other fields. According to data forecasts in recent years, the main consumer industry of cemented carbide is still cutting tools.

       Cemented carbide product classification

Cemented carbide is an alloy material made by a hard compound of refractory metal and a bonded metal through a powder metallurgy process. Cemented carbide products are mainly tungsten carbide as the hard phase, cobalt as the bonding phase, by ball milling, spray granulation, pressing, sintering, with high hardness, strength, wear resistance and corrosion resistance, cemented carbide is known as "industrial teeth", mainly used in cutting tools, stamping tools, molds, mining and road construction machinery and other fields.

Cemented carbide can be divided into tungsten-cobalt alloy, tungsten-titanium-cobalt alloy, tungsten-titanium-tantalum (niobium) cobalt alloy, titanium carbide-based alloy and coated alloy according to the classification of components.
